It is a fundraising raffle where participants buy tickets for a chance to win a motor vehicle. All proceeds are used by Potch GIM NPC to support educational development, including scholarships, cultural and sporting activities, and school infrastructure.

  1. What is the purpose of the raffle?

The funds raised are used to support Potchefstroom Gimnasium and related educational initiatives. This includes educational programmes, scholarships, sports, culture, and infrastructure development, in line with National Lotteries Commission requirements.

  1. Who is organising the raffle?

The raffle is organised by Potch GIM NPC, registered under NLC Scheme Number 00550/01.

  1. Who can enter the raffle?

Anyone aged 18 years or older who is legally allowed to enter a binding agreement may participate.

Employees, directors, and immediate family members of the organiser or beneficiary may be excluded to ensure fairness.

  1. Can minors participate?

If a ticket is purchased for someone under 18, it is legally considered to have been purchased by their parent or guardian, who will be the official ticket holder.

  1. How much does a ticket cost?

Each ticket costs R150.

  1. How many tickets are available?

A maximum of 5,000 tickets will be sold. Sales may close earlier if all tickets are sold out.

  1. How do I buy a ticket?

Tickets are sold online only through approved payment systems. Once payment is confirmed, a unique ticket number is automatically generated.

  1. Are tickets refundable?

No. Tickets are non-refundable unless required by law.

  1. Can I transfer my ticket to someone else?

No. Tickets are non-transferable.

  1. How do I know my ticket is valid?

A ticket is only valid once full payment has been successfully received and confirmed by the official system. Each valid ticket has a unique ticket number recorded in a secure register.

  1. How is the winner chosen?

The winner is selected through a random, verifiable draw process at a public event. The draw is:

  • Video recorded
  • Supervised by an independent attorney or witness
  • Audited or overseen where applicable

 

The first valid ticket drawn wins.

  1. When is the draw?

The draw takes place on the advertised date at a public event. Any changes will be communicated publicly if necessary.

  1. What is the prize?

The prize is one motor vehicle as advertised. It will be delivered in good working condition and transferred legally to the winner.

  1. Can I exchange the prize for cash?

No. The prize cannot be exchanged for cash unless required by law or decided by the organiser.

  1. What happens if the winner cannot be contacted?

If the winner cannot be reached or does not claim the prize within 30 days, a redraw may take place using the same process.
